Background: The Church Building Fund was established in 1994 as separate account for the needs of future church building development. The relevant income and expenditure from the newly acquired property are included in building fund budget passed during former annual general congregational meetings.  Therefore, the church council recommends that the relevant income and expenditure be included in the building Fund according to the original purpose and past practice for building fund.

Proposed Budget Amendments:

1. to remove Group 13 – 6247 Main Street Expenses from General fund.

2. to remove Group 14 – 6255 Main Street Income & Expenses  from General fund.

3. to renumber Group 15 – Theological Scholarship as Group 13;

4. to amend Group 2, Item 2.6 (Insurance) in the General Fund from $12,000 to $8,000

5. to revise the total 2026 General Fund Budget from $734,461 to $719,647;

6. to include income and expenses for 6247 Main  and 6255 Main in the Building Fund.

Motion: That the congregation approve the proposed 2026 budget amendments as presented.

Information session was held on April 12; there will be no questions and answers on the day of the special congregational meeting.  Feel free to approach any council member before the SCM for further clarification if needed.
